APPLICATIONS

Thiourea is highly reactive and used for the preparation of various compounds. It can react with multiple oxidants to form organic compounds or combine with inorganic compounds to produce easily soluble adducts. Thiourea also has broad application prospects in petrochemicals and pharmaceutical chemistry, as many medicinal molecules contain thiourea structural fragments. Additionally, thiourea serves as a crucial intermediate in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. For instance, many oral hypoglycemic agents and antithyroid drugs currently on the market belong to the thiourea class. Moreover, thiourea-based compounds exhibit excellent insecticidal activity and are widely utilized in the pesticide industry.

STORAGE

Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from sources of fire and heat. Sealed packaging. It should be stored separately from oxidants, acids, and edible chemicals, and avoid mixing storage. Equip with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment. The storage area should be equipped with suitable materials to contain leaked materials.
